General Use: By accessing our site or utilizing our services, you agree to abide by these Terms and our [Privacy Policy].
K-12 & Minor Participation: Our services include educational offerings, workshops, and scholarship opportunities designed for K-12 students (elementary, middle, and high school) as well as higher education students.
Parental/Guardian Consent: If a user or program applicant is under 18 years of age (or a minor under applicable state law), a parent or legal guardian must review and consent to these Terms on their behalf. Parents/guardians assume full responsibility for their minor child’s compliance with these Terms when participating in Foundation programs or events.
Our HBCUs Matter Foundation, Inc. provides educational services, youth development workshops, K-12 college prep initiatives, mentorship, and financial awards (collectively, “Educational Services”).
Application Integrity: Applicants (and their parent/guardian, where applicable) must submit truthful, accurate, and original information in all applications, essays, transcripts, and supporting documentation. Submission of false information will result in immediate disqualification or cancellation of awarded funds.
Selection Discretion: Scholarship awards, grants, and program admissions are granted at the sole discretion of the Foundation’s selection committees. Submitting an application does not guarantee funding or acceptance.
Participant Code of Conduct: All participants—including K-12 students, college scholars, parents, and mentors—are expected to uphold high standards of respect, integrity, and safety. The Foundation reserves the right to suspend or dismiss any participant from a program or event for disruptive behavior, harassment, or policy violations.
We host educational workshops, youth summits, college fairs, and advocacy events in-person and virtually.
Registrations: Registrations are non-transferable unless approved in writing by the Foundation.
Media Release: By participating in an in-person or virtual Foundation event, participants (or parents/guardians on behalf of minor children) grant us permission to capture, record, and publish photographical, video, and audio recordings of attendees for non-profit educational, promotional, and fundraising purposes. Parents/guardians wishing to opt out of media capture for minor children must notify the Foundation in writing prior to the event.
Gifts directly support our K-12 youth programs, scholarship funds, and organizational mission.
Tax Deductibility: Our HBCUs Matter Foundation, Inc. is a tax-exempt non-profit organization. Donations are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. Official donation receipts for tax filing will be provided electronically or by mail.
Non-Refundable Donations: All donations are final and non-refundable, except in the event of an obvious processing error (e.g., duplicate online transaction). Error correction requests must be submitted within 14 days of the transaction.
Allocation of Funds: Unless restricted by a formal, written agreement accepted by the Foundation, the organization retains final discretion over how contributions are allocated to fulfill its charitable purpose.
All content, branding, logos, educational materials, curriculum, publications, graphics, and text on this website are the property of Our HBCUs Matter Foundation, Inc. (or used with permission). You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, or display our intellectual property without prior written consent from the Foundation.
