WHAT IS IT?

The My HBCU Matters Summit is a 3 Day Immersive Experience that promotes education, activism, and career development. The Summit engages with HBCU students, faculty, staff, alumni, and supporters. Our Sponsors and Corporate Partners are committed to providing a wealth of opportunities for attendees to learn, engage, and be exposed to careers in various industries. Students & Sponsors will have year around engagement via virtual learning sessions and in-person engagement at the My HBCU Matters Summit. All sponsors have access to student resumes and profiles for recruitment and talent leads.

WHAT IS IT?

The Our HBCUs Matter Mini-Museum is a captivating interactive experience that amplifies the history and significance of HBCUs. With touch screens, audio-visuals, and colorful displays of facts about HBCUs, this museum provides a gateway into the impact HBCUs have on the United States of America.

We travel to cities throughout the United States stationing the Museum activation for 4-5 Days, allowing for K-12 Schools, HBCU Students, and the Public to engage within the captivating Museum. Students participate within educational programming and learning curriculum about HBCUs, notable American figure who are HBCU Alumni, and STEAM activities.

SIGNIFIGANCE

Apart from providing education, HBCUs have been instrumental in fostering leadership within the African American community. These institutions have nurtured numerous leaders who have made significant contributions in various fields, including politics, law, science, and the arts. The environment at HBCUs, focused on empowerment and cultural affirmation, has been conducive to developing strong, confident professionals and leaders. Many notable figures in American history, who have contributed to social change and the advancement of civil rights, received their education at HBCUs.

WHAT IS IT?

Headquarter Homecomings is an opportunity for our scholars and partners to converge onto to the campus of the Corporate Partner, for students and partners to learn, engage and network. Scholars and partners engage during the Headquarter Homecoming for a 2 Day Event, which includes a Company Case Competition, Mock Interviews, Tour of the Corporation, Panel Discussions, Tour of the Headquarter City Location and Scholarships. This initiative is focused to transform and ignite a strong pipeline for recruit and talent development with HBCU students.
