The My HBCU Matter Scholars Academy is a multi-industry focused immersive educational experience for HBCU Undergraduate & Graduate level students which provides personal, academic, and professional development, industry training, and networking; supported by our partners. Students & Partners, Scholar Alumni, will have year around engagement via virtual learning sessions and in-person activations at the multiple events.
The selection criteria for the HBCU Scholars were created via our Scholar Rubric.
-Recommendation from Dean/Director/Professor
-Matriculated from our Future of HBCUs Matter Scholar Academy Program (Not Required)
-Must be a Undergraduate or Graduate Student at a HBCU
-Actively looking for an internship/employment
-Complete the HBCU Scholar Application
-Complete the Professional Development Intensive Sessions
-Scholars are required to meet 2x a week (If you have a conflict you must submit the absence request form.
-Must Attend On Campus Academic Support 2x a Week
-Required to attend in person events.
-Scholars must sign Scholar Program Agreement
-Maintain an upstanding image on social media and in-person.
-Be a advocate and change agent for HBCUs
